Cocoa Beach April 15-17

We stayed for 2 nights before the cruise at Four Points by Sheraton Cocoa Beach.  We had a Jr. Suite that sleeps 6...2 Queen beds (much nicer that the night before with doubles) and a pull out sleep sofa.  Kids rotate through the sleep sofa.  The SPG promotion that was in effect from our trip to NYC in March ended on our first night, but we did get 500 bonus points for the first night, and double points for the whole stay.  Room was modern and clean and looked out over the surf shop that is in the hotel rather than outside.  We ate in the restaurant the first night and could look up at our room and were unable to see in, which was good.  My parents had a king room, which was much smaller.

After we checked in, we went to Ron Jon's which is across the side street from the hotel.  Jack got another skateboard (he got one last year when we were here).  He was a happy little dude!  Katie and Carrie looked at bathing suits, but the none of them were good enough for the picky princesses.  After that we went to dinner in the hotel, its a basic pub, with some decent seafood dishes.  Not bad.

The next day we went and hung on the beach all day.  My parents went to go to Kennedy Space Center, but got there and found out the cost was $43 to see anything (couldn't even go as far as when we were kids to see some of the outside stuff) and decided it wasn't worth it.  So they came back and hung around the small pool at the hotel.

Dinner that night was at a pretty decent seafood place on the left right before going back over the bridge off the island.

Next day we got up early and drove to the port.  Michael posted a trip report on the DIS boards which I will copy into the next post.
